How Do You Make Cleaning a 21,000 sq. ft. home Effortless?

Cleaning any home can be a challenge—but cleaning a home nearly the size of a hotel introduces an entirely different set of obstacles. At almost 21,000 square feet, including an expansive 40-by-50-foot great room, this residence required a central vacuum system capable of delivering complete coverage across an exceptionally large and open floor plan.

The limited number of available walls made placing enough retractable hose inlets particularly challenging. Our solution was a hybrid Chameleon Retractable Hose System powered by a dual-motor MD SilentMaster S900.

We installed several Chameleon retractable hose valves on each floor, concentrating them in the areas where the homeowner cleans most frequently—including the kitchen and dining area, billiards room, and owner’s suite. Strategically placed standard inlet valves provide coverage throughout the remainder of the home.

By combining retractable and traditional inlets, Pittsburgh Central Vacuum was able to provide convenient, complete cleaning coverage without exceeding the homeowner’s vacuum-system budget. The result is a thoughtfully designed system that makes maintaining this extraordinary home considerably easier.
